Highways England would like to procure a suitable supplier that has the capability and capacity to produce (and therefore continue production of) an existing Highways England monthly staff magazine for a period of 36 months. Publication of the first edition of this replacement magazine will be required around mid to late May 2017, to ensure continuity of this publication. We are currently looking to continue with the current format of the magazine (as detailed in the specification document). Initially it is expected that there will be the requirement of up to 5 500 copies (subject to variation) of the finished magazine, to be distributed to various locations within England. In addition to the production, the chosen supplier will also be required to assist the client, by providing all ancillary services associated with the final product (i.e. client interviews and photography for new articles, supply, design (including graphics where required) proof reading, and some editorial support). The continued production of a monthly magazine, which is printed on 130 gsm ‘recycled silk’ paper, measuring 250mm x 210mm portrait orientation, in full colour, stapled and comprised of 16 pages (but with the possibility to expand) for up to 20 pages. The current requirement is to have up to 5 500 copies per edition (however this may increase over the term of the contract due to the current expansion of Highways England). Alongside the production of the magazine the supplier will be required to work collaboratively with the client and provide additional services that make delivery of the final product successful; Services may therefore include (and may not be limited to) client interviews and photography (for articles), the supply of all materials for the finalised product, provide expertise for both magazine design and production, proof reading including editorial support for the client and finally the final production (including distribution) of the finished magazine.
