Tender description

Coventry City Council are seeking to commission: — A drug and alcohol treatment service for adults that is recovery led; incorporating both prevention and treatment within a wider recovery system. — A prevention and family support service along with service user advocacy. Coventry City Council are seeking to commission on behalf of NHS Coventry and Rugby Clinical Commissioning Group: — A City Centre late night triage service. Light Touch Regime. The Coventry Adult Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service will support people to recover and to live happy and healthy lives free from harmful drug and alcohol use. Light Touch Regime. The Prevention, Advocacy and Family Support Service will address the specific needs of those accessing drug and alcohol treatment services, as well as their family, carers and friends. The Provider will deliver a model of support with a significant presence in the city centre, but will also deliver community based interventions and support. The Provider will be required to demonstrate how their model works and how it complies with all appropriate standards for access, confidentiality and governance. The service is multi-faceted and will provide various aspects of support to enable service users to successfully access recovery services and enhance their ability to achieve long term abstinence or significantly reduce their harm. The service will have several main functions, which are facets of 1 overarching programme of complex support. These are: i. Prevention; ii. Online support; iii. Advice and support for housing and benefits; iv. Peer mentoring and support; v. Active outreach, engagement and promotion of services; vi. Service user involvement and advocacy; vii. Family support. Light Touch Regime. The Provider will deliver a late-night triage service for members of the public by providing a street-side, mobile injury service in Coventry city centre. The aim of the service is to reduce the number of non-emergency alcohol-related attendances at A&E and reduce the ambulance trips needed.
