Haigh Woodland Park - Supply and installation of outdoor furniture

Wigan Council are in the process of implementing a masterplan for Haigh Hall and Country park to regenerate the site through private and public sector funding support. The masterplan will be delivered in phases with phase one of the Wigan Council funded programme now reaching a conclusion. Phase one is comprised of the following: •Installation of new site furniture including cycle stands, benches, bins and picnic benches The brief invites outdoor furniture supply options, budget costs, delivery method statements and responses to quality criteria to facilitate evaluation and appointment of the preferred supplier. Following selection a review process will be required to inform the final selection of site furniture, the initial quantity to be procured, the proposed positioning and the installation methodology. •Supply and installation of loose seating to the Haigh Kitchen courtyard for use by all the food and drink outlets now in occupation. The furniture range should be of a consistent design and material but introduce varying options for seating including picnic benches, individual seats and tables and accessible seating options. The loose furniture is to be positioned on a cobbled surface with subtle falls to installed drainage channels •Supply and installation of fixed bins to the Haigh kitchen courtyard scaled to support high demand and designed to support recycling •Supply and installation of fixed cycle stands within the Haigh kitchen courtyard •Supply and installation of fixed bins to the Haigh Courtyard café seating area. Selected bins should be scaled to support high demand and designed to support recycling. The bins are to be positioned within a tegular block surface. •Supply of loose bins consistent with the style proposed for the Haigh kitchen courtyard for deployment during peak times •Supply and installation of benches throughout the park. The majority of benches are to be set within an existing macadam or gravel surface •Supply and installation of fixed bins throughout the park set within macadam, gravel or grassed area. •Supply and installation of picnic benches in identified locations throughout the park installed within grassed areas Keywords: bins, Haigh, Outdoor, Wigan, Furniture
