Tender description

The BDBF is acting on behalf of the Church of England, Birmingham Schools. The Department for Education provides capital funding VA schools known as LCVAP funding. This funding is released to the LA who coordinate the distribution of funding prioritising keeping VA schools warm and dry. We are seeking a Building Surveying company or equivalent Professional Construction Consultancy to work with our Voluntary Aided (VA) Schools to determine appropriate capital projects including building requirements. They would then represent the Schools at LEA (Local Education Authority) Co-ordinated Voluntary Aided Programme (LCVAP) meetings with LAs and other interested parties to maximise funding possible. The framework agreement will run for 3 years starting on 3.4.2017 with a potential 1 year extension. In addition, this Framework will be available to other Church of England, Birmingham Schools (including voluntary-controlled schools, academies and affiliated schools). Only 1 service provider will be awarded the framework, with fees established on a percentage basis, hourly rates may be requested but will only be used where no other fee basis is suitable. For each task or project, the relevant Head and Chair of Governors representative will provide a specific fee brief or instruction for pricing and agreement, prior to commencement of work.
