Tender description

The Secretary of State for Defence ( the Authority) intends to extend a current contract with SJ Procurement Ltd for the provision of Subject Matter Expertise to support the Defence Academy in contractual negotiations concerning an ongoing potential commercial dispute with the objective of conclusion by December 2017. The intended duration of this Contract is expected to be until December 2017. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the Negotiated Procedure without Prior Publication of a contract notice pursuant to Article 32(2)(b)(i) of Directive 2014/24/EU (Regulation 32(2)(b)(ii) of the UK Public Contracts Regulations 2015) for technical reasons. The original contracting route has now lapsed however the negotiation has not completed. The target is that a settlement should be agreed between the parties by December 2017, this requires ongoing support from SJ Procurement. The settlement will be enacted with Central Legal Services support. The Contractor will provide negotiation support to enable the Defence Academy to a settlement on a contract dispute. The intention is to have resolution by December 2017.
