Tender description

The Managed Service Provider shall provide a lone worker system for approximately 1 200 users (the number of users may increase and decrease during the term) which will monitor the safety of lone workers, via the Trust's existing and any future mobile phone system which is not part of this specification whilst providing the capacity to call for immediate assistance if difficulties are encountered and be available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The Managed Service Provider shall provide a responder service to ensure a seamless lone worker service which will be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the lone workers by responding to alarms raised via the Lone Worker system. The Managed Service Provider shall provide a lone worker system for approximately 1 200 users (the number of users may increase and decrease during the term) which will monitor the safety of lone workers, via the Trust's existing and any future mobile phone system (not part of this specification) whilst providing the capacity to call for immediate assistance if difficulties are encountered and be available 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. The system must be accessed via a web browser. The service provision, system availability and associated training is expected to be completed within two months of the Contract being signed. The Managed Service Provider shall provide a responder service to ensure a seamless lone worker service to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the lone workers by responding to alarms raised via the Lone Worker system. The responder service can be broken down into 3 elements: EN Standard form 02 — Contract notice 5 / 16 — A 24 hour, 365 days a year call centre facility to acknowledge and respond to alarms raised by the Lone Worker system; and — A manned (uniformed SIA accredited security service) response search for unaccounted lone workers. — Where necessary, escalating the alarm to the local Police force. Geographical Coverage The Responder Service, including the manned (uniformed SIA accredited security service) response search, will cover all of the Trust's geographical area of work (currently County Durham, Darlington, Cleveland, Tyne & Wear) and be able to be flexible dependant on current and future service provision. Accreditation The Managed Service Provider must be accredited to ISO 9001 as a minimum. Contract period 24 months with options for a further 3 x 12 month extensions.
