London Borough of Hounslow Short Breaks for Disabled Children programme

The Short Breaks for Disabled Children programme in Hounslow is a successful programme that has run in the borough for the last 7 years. The current framework contract for Short Breaks providers expires on 31 March 2018 and we are launching the start of the tender process for a new framework contract to commence 1 April 2018. A Market Engagement Event has been organised for Monday 2 October at 2pm as an opportunity to provide an overview of the current Short Breaks programme and the tender process. As part of the 0-25 Disability team, Short Breaks provide a programme of activities for disabled children from 0-up to 18 years, primarily focused on the school holidays. We currently offer a range of sporting activities, cookery sessions, theatre show and cinema screenings, holiday play schemes, music therapy, after school clubs and family days out during the summer months. We are looking for providers who can add value to the programme with high quality provision working with vulnerable young people. The meeting takes place in the Council Chambers in the Civic Centre on Monday 2 October between 2-4 pm. On arrival at the Civic Centre, please report to Reception and you will be directed from there.
