Tender description

The Council is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Hounslow residents by helping reduce fuel costs and improving the energy efficiency of housing. Evidence suggests that cold homes caused by poor thermal efficiency and fuel poverty have negative impacts on health, particularly on older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions. Public Health have agreed to fund the Better Homes, Better Health programme for the financial year 2017/18 with a budget of £60,000 - through a public health grant. The programme has been running very successfully for a number of years and is now up for re-procuring.
