Halton Healthwatch and Advocacy Hub Service

Halton Borough Council is pleased to invite organisations to a Provider Event prior to the publication of an Invitation to tender for Halton Healthwatch and Advocacy Hub Service. Halton Borough Council is seeking to re-commission its local Healthwatch service. Halton’s vision for Healthwatch is that it is seen as an effective, powerful and independent local voice for all aspects of adult and children’s health and social care within the borough, and that it will be representative of the diverse communities living in Halton. Halton Healthwatch will also be contractually responsible for the delivery of Halton’s new Advocacy Hub. The Advocacy Hub will bring together Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy and Care Act Advocacy. Under this arrangement, Halton Healthwatch can either directly deliver and/or sub-contract the various elements of the Advocacy Hub. It is anticipated that the contract for these services will be for a 3 year period, commencing in April 2018, with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
