Leicestershire County Council seeks, through this procurement, to appoint a single Energy Performance Contractor, who will manage the process of delivering Energy Performance Contracts with the overall aim of saving energy, reducing running costs, generating renewable energy, generating income from energy schemes, reducing carbon emissions and helping the environment by way of the following non-exhaustive list. The County Council seeks, through this procurement, to appoint a single Energy Performance Contractor, who will manage the process of delivering Energy Performance Contracts with the overall aim of saving energy, reducing running costs, generating renewable energy, generating income from energy schemes, reducing carbon emissions and helping the environment by way of the following non-exhaustive list. Please note not every outcome is not expected to be delivered on every project, but each project will require specific outcomes as set out in the Project Brief. The Energy Performance Contractor will be required to work on the following types of schemes: a) Increase energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption at the buildings the County Council and its Permitted Purchasing Bodies currently manage (including owned, rented and leased buildings) and may run, build or develop in the future (housing, commercial and non-domestic buildings including but not exclusively offices, libraries, day centres, highways depots, leisure centres, industrial units, farms, schools). b) Generate renewable and low-carbon energy at the buildings the County Council and its Permitted Purchasing Bodies currently manage (including owned, rented and leased buildings) and may acquire, run, manage, build or develop in the future (housing, commercial and non-domestic buildings including but not exclusively offices, libraries, day centres, highways depots, leisure centres, industrial units, farms, schools). c) Generate renewable, zero or low carbon energy on land that the County Council and its Permitted Purchasing Bodies manage (including owned, rented and leased land) and may own, acquire, manage, build or develop on in the future. d) Identify and support energy schemes with the potential to generate income for the County Council and its Permitted Purchasing Bodies.
