This is a Contract Award Notice. The NUI Galway campus has an extensive wired and wireless network. Its existing firewall infrastructure is nearing end-of-life and requires replacement. This infrastructure includes: — External border routers connecting to HEAnet; — All switch/routing infrastructure connecting border routers to firewall; — Firewall and Web security capabilities; — All switch infrastructure providing DMZ connectivity. The purpose of this tender was to establish a single-party framework agreement for the provision, installation, commissioning and on-going monitoring and support of this infrastructure. The framework may also be used for related networking equipment that may be required over its lifetime. The framework duration is for a period of 4 years with an initial contract to be awarded for a period of 3 years with the option to renew, subject to review and satisfactory performance, for a further period of up to 3 years.
