Tender description

The Services will comprise the storage, repair, maintenance, timely erection and de-erection of the Festive Lights. Renfrewshire Council is inviting Contractors to submit bids for festive lighting installation (the services). The Services will comprise the storage, repair, maintenance, timely erection and de-erection of the Festive Lights. It will also include the following: The annual electrical testing of the Festive Lights prior to erection: Transporting of the Festive Lights from the ‘Field and Lawn depot in Broxburn to the Contractor's store at the start of the service period and transporting of the Festive Lights between the Contractor's store and the display locations; Timely erection and de-erection of the Festive Lights; Provision of a Switch-On Event at each display Location (see section titled “Festive Lights Switch On Events” below for locations); Support to and presence at each Switch-On Event (see section titled “Festive Lights Switch On Events” below for locations); Weekly inspections of the Festive Lights during the period in which the features are erected; Emergency attendance to repair and maintain the Festive Lights as required for Health and Safety issues; Repair of the Festive Lights as instructed if damaged by storm / vandalism (note any festive lights damaged in Contractor's storage or in transit, or during erection / removal shall be repaired by the Contractor without instruction and at Contractor's expense); Replacement of any Festive Lights damaged beyond repair as instructed; Storage of the Festive Lights at the Contractor’s depot; and the handover of all features to a new contractor or the Employer as instructed by the Employer at the end of the service period. The form of Contract to be applied to this tender will be based on the NEC3 Term Service Short Contract April 2013.
