Tender description

Element 1 — Speech and Language Therapy deploys provision via an integrated model based in and around our Family Hubs (Children Centres) using an integrated pathway that initially uses the 2 year Speech, Language and Communication Measure' by Family Hub staff, and dependant on the outcome of the measure, leads to referral to Speech and Language Therapist assessment. Provided to children under 5 years of age. Element 2 — A language outreach support service for pupils 5 - 16 years of age with high need speech and language communication difficulties is also included in the service. The service is ‘term-time’ provision only. This element of therapy support provides assessment, therapy and support for children, young people and their families. The Council is procuring a Speech and Language Therapy Service, it includes 2 elements: — Element 1 is universal services provided for children under 5 years of age. — Element 2 is a language outreach support service which provides assessment, therapy and support for children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties and their families aged 5 — 16.
