SS17029 Transport of Food Waste and Mixed Dry Recyclate for final disposal

Tender description

This requirement from the Growth, Environment and Transport Directorate is for the transportation of Food Waste and Mixed Dry Recyclates for final disposal at the New Earth Solutions IVC Facility and the Viridor MRF Facility at Crayford or other nominated facilities. This Contract will encompass the provision of waste haulage from Allington Transfer Station(Kent Enviro Power Ltd, Laverstoke Road, Maidstone, Kent ME16 0LE) to KCC nominated Final Disposal facilities. This arrangement will provide the capacity to haul food waste and mixed dry recyclate deposited at the Allington Transfer Station to a nominated final disposal IVC plant and nominated final disposal MRF facility. The approximate tonnage for this contract is 4,000 Food Waste tonnes and 16,000 Mixed Dry Recyclate tonnes. The frequency for the collection of food waste is 1 a day for 5 days a week and for the Mixed Dry Recyclate the average is 3 a day for 6 days a week.The Provider will be expected to give due regard to the storage capacity available at Allington, and the opening times of the Authority Waste Outlets, to ensure the provision of a continuous and flexible Service of all hauled waste.
