The Council is seeking to enter into a contract with a suitably qualified organisation for the provision of care and support services (the ‘Project’) for a total of 76 clients within twelve (12)existing supported living and residential schemes for people with Learning Disabilities (‘LD’) with a total capacity of 79 flats situated within the Council's administrative area. The successful provider will evidence an operational model that promotes step down to independent living with a supporting financial model that demonstrates a reduction in care costs. A portfolio of two contracts are currently held with learning disability supported living & residential providers (Fremantle and Turning Point).This tender opportunity seeks to aggregate and award a single contract for supported living provision commencing 1st April 2019. The Council is keen to identify the optimum method of delivering the services and achieving key strategic objectives, both technical and financial. With the above in mind, the Council would like to invite you to attend a market engagement event. The event will provide an opportunity for prospective Bidders to meet key staff and learn more about the aspirations of the Council. Information gathered on the day will be shared with all prospective Bidders through the Invitation to Tender documents. Providers are advised that due to capacity constraints, we would only be able to register up to two (2) attendees per organisation. The event will be held on Wednesday 4th October between 10:00 and 13:00 at the Council's main offices at Borough Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford MK42 9AP.
