Tender description
The Contractor shall supply a physiotherapy service using suitably qualified personnel operating within the scope of their qualifications and experience, which shall be available to the Authority's entitled personnel referred from Primary Care, at Fulwood Barracks Medical Centre for up to 22 hours each week. Duration 3 years plus 2 options (Starting 01/01/2018 — 31/12/2020 (less options). Fulwood Medical Centre cares for a PAR of approximately 400. Physiotherapy Services are provided by contract, which provides 22 hours per week for 46 weeks per year. Fulwood is a part of Weeton Medical Centre, which does not have capacity on site to treat the Population At Risk from Fulwood. The Contractor shall supply a physiotherapy service using suitably qualified personnel operating within the scope of their qualifications and experience, which shall be available to the Authority's entitled personnel referred from Primary Care, at Fulwood Barracks Medical Centre. Timing of sessions is to be agreed between the Practice Manager and the Contractor and some flexibility is expected of the Contractor both in providing sessions and in completing all work required during any particular session. However, the total amount of services available to the Authority must be maintained at the 22 hour per week level for 46 weeks per annum. The Authority will notify the Contractor which weeks the services will not be required as the information becomes available. Typical throughput rates should be: Assessment and first treatment: 45 minutes. Subsequent treatments: 30 minutes each. It is acknowledged that necessity may vary these timings either way. Patients should be seen for up to 6 (or at the most 8) treatments before being referred to MIAC/RRU or if need determines, other available care pathways. Proposed contract duration is three years with potentially two option years dependent upon MOD's continued need and / or Contractor's performance. Options must be priced in ITT. This requirement is being Tendered under PCR 2015 ‘Open’ Procedure meaning full Tender bids must be submitted (no expressions of interest), by 10:00 am Thursday 26.10.2017 without exception, to stated address in ITT.
