NHS England South (South West) - Dental Services in Redland, Bristol

Tender description

NHS England South (South West) commissioned 6,000 additional Units of Dental Activity (UDAs) for patients living in and around the Redland area of Bristol. The service specification works in relation to and not instead of the NHS (General Dental Services /Personal Dental Services Contracts) Regulations 2005. The contract will be a variation to an existing General Dental Services (GDS) contract and the service specification will be a core part of the contract document. The KPIs will be monitored in line with the Dental Assurance Framework to ensure the thresholds for the satisfactory standards of service provision have been set correctly. The Services are healthcare services within the meaning and scope of Annex XIV of Directive 2014/24/EU ("the Directive") and Schedule 3 to the Public Contract Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations"), which are not subject to the full regime of the Regulations, but is instead governed by the "Light Touch Regime", (Articles 74 to 76 of the Directive, and Regulations 74 to 76 of the Regulations).
