Tender description

The Councils, namely City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Leeds City Council, Kirklees Council, Wakefield Metropolitan District Council and Calderdale Council have clear responsibilities to maintain their highway network in a safe condition and to achieve this, during winter, use a number of specialised services and equipment that require a high degree of reliability. The Contractor is to exercise proper control over the quality of service through his supervision. The Contractor is, in addition to his supervision during the work, to provide regular checks on all services and equipment as specified. Provision of Winter Bureau and Weather Station Maintenance services for the period October 2017 to April 2018. The Local Authorities included in Lot 1 are City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Kirklees Council and Leeds City Council. Lot 1 includes the following weather stations. Authority Weather Station Location; Bradford Queensbury and Silsden; Kirklees Dewsbury, Grange Moor and Wessenden Moor; Leeds Whinmoor and Yeadon. Lot 2 includes the following weather stations. Authority Weather Station Location. Wakefield Pineapple Hill. Provision of Winter Bureau and Weather Station Maintenance services for the period October 2017 to September 2018. The Local Authorities included in Lot 3 is Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council. Lot 3 includes the following weather stations. Authority Weather Station Location. Calderdale Hebden Bridge. The Local Authority included in Lot 4 is Leeds City Council. Lot 4 includes the following weather station. Authority Weather Station Location; Leeds Bridgewater Place (ultrasonic wind sensor).
