Summary of the work This requirement is to provide ILS subject matter expertise to the Crypto project teams in MOD Information Systems and Services organisation. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring Through Life Support is optimised and continually improved to enable successful delivery of projects. Who Speclialist Work With All project managers and external technical support within the Sy Infra area Specialist will also be expected to work closely with ISS PMO and the ISS Risk Manager and with suppliers and other key stakeholders as and when required What Specialists Work On Integrated Logistic Support Engineer (ILS) for ISS Cryptographic projects, you will play a key role in providing through life support and service solutions. The ILS team tailor support solutions to their users requirements and currently have a number of new projects on the horizon so are looking for a candidate with a strong technical support background with exposure of working within a relevant hi-tech industry. You will advise on the delivery of strategic planning and support of logistic services. This includes planning, delivery and operation of in-service support, supply chain management, repair procedures and resolution of design and maintenance issues. Skills & Experience • Previous experience of ILS project delivery- 30% • Previous experience as a ILS or Through Life Support practitioner in a project environment- 40% • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills- 15% • Proven ability to work in a multi-function team- 15% Work Location ISS, Building 405, Spur F1, Westwells Road, MOD Corsham, SN13 9NR Working Arrangments All tasking will take place from MoD Corsham, with the need to travel to stakeholders and Industry partners when required under the direction of the MOD ILS Manager. You are required 5 days a week, the working day is 8 hours to include 30 minutes for lunch. Overnight visits will only be permitted if permission is sought in advance. This individual will report to Liam Smith. Security Clearance SC Clearance must be in place prior to the contract starting due to the projects worked on. SC status must be valid for the duration of the contract. DV Clearance is also acceptable. BPSS or Disclosure Scotland is not acceptable and the Authority will NOT sponsor SC Clearance. Additional T&Cs Intermediaries legislation applies to this assignment (Inside IR35), take this into account when choosing your candidate and ensure they are aware at the outset. This is for short notice, overnight or travel overseas T&S which will be judged on a case by case basis pending Business Case approval by budget holder due to support to multiple projects across SyInfra portfolio. 4. Is occasional remote working allowed? Due to hot desking and pending laptop loan approvals flexible working arrangements will be considered. However, this will be determined on a case by case basis when in post. 5. Is there any travel involved in this role and will the travel expenses be paid ? Yes, there is travel involved to UK sites T&S is not included within the Business Case. However, if short notice, overnight or travel overseas occurs this will be dealt with separately through programme budget, subject to Budget Holder approval. 6.
