Tender description

North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent CCGs currently commission a number of enhanced pathways with community optometrists. These include pre-and post- operative cataract, glaucoma referral refinement, paediatric shared care and minor eye conditions. North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent CCGs wish to join an existing contract held by South Staffordshire CCGs in order to align services throughout Staffordshire as part of the wider strategic vision to align the services within the Staffordshire footprint. This contract is held by an eye care company who will arrange sub-contractor agreements with local practitioners and manage each of the above pathways on behalf of the CCGs until the existing contract ends in 2019. This VEAT Notice is published under the Public Contract Regulations 2015. It is for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations (‘Regulations’). Accordingly, the contracting authority is only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authority is not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations.
