Tender description

NHS England South (South West) commissioned 6 000 additional Units of Dental Activity (UDAs) for patients living in and around the Redland area of Bristol. 6 000 UDAs equates to approximately 2 800 patients (based on the AT average of 2.2 UDAs per patient). UDAs will be offered at a fixed price of 25.20 GBP per UDA which is non-negotiable. This procurement was carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners. NHS England South (South West) commissioned 6 000 additional Units of Dental Activity (UDAs) for patients living in and around the Redland area of Bristol. The service specification works in relation to and not instead of the NHS (General Dental Services /Personal Dental Services Contracts) Regulations 2005. The contract will be a variation to an existing General Dental Services (GDS) contract and the service specification will be a core part of the contract document. The KPIs will be monitored in line with the Dental Assurance Framework to ensure the thresholds for the satisfactory standards of service provision have been set correctly.
