Tender description

The Council intends to tender for a contract to provide the accommodation, management, maintenance and operation of the Bromley CCTV Service. As such, this PIN does not formally signify the beginning of a procurement process and does not constitute commitment to undertake a procurement exercise. In the event that the London Borough of Bromley decides to commence formally procurement pursuant to this PIN a separate OJEU Contract Notice will be issued. The Provider will need to manage and operate the CCTV Service twenty four hours a day, seven days a week with highly trained and qualified operators. The Provider will need to monitor a control room that monitors 85 town centre cameras, 10 of which are bus lane enforcement cameras; the 75 car park cameras and 20 relocatable cameras. The Provider will be expected to deliver services such as traffic and car park security and enforcement, care in the community, DVLA enforcement, special events such as sports and carnivals. The Provider would manage criminal activity through the CCTV control room, the control room forms the nerve centre for a comprehensive network of nearly 200 CCTV cameras sited at strategic sites within the borough. The Provider would need to work in partnership with local businesses, they would also have a live link to the Police via Metcall and would be able to speak directly to officers on the ground when directing them to an incident.
