Tender description

This Framework Agreement (‘the Contract’) is for the implementation of a Framework Agreement for Durham County Council for Contractors to undertake works where bricklaying and/or block work will be required (‘The Authority’). The works will involve the refurbishment of existing buildings and potentially the provision of new facilities. Each project is likely to be unique. This Invitation to Tender is issued under an open process with no prior short-listing. Following this tender exercise a maximum number of 3 bidders, who achieves the highest weighted tender score over 60 % will be awarded the Framework. The expected start date for the proposed contract is 1.1.2018. The expected end date for the proposed contract is 31.12.2020 with an option to extend up to a further 2 x 12 months. Implementation of a Framework Agreement for Durham County Council for Contractors to undertake works where bricklaying and/or block work will be required (‘The Authority’). The works will involve the refurbishment of existing buildings and potentially the provision of new facilities. Each project is likely to be unique. The main users of the Framework Agreement will be Direct Services as part of the Regeneration and Local Services Directorate. This Framework will be available for use by Durham County Council on behalf of itself and other entities where they have entered into a Service Level Agreement with Durham County Council: — Academy Schools in County Durham and Darlington, — Maintained Schools in County Durham and Darlington, — County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service, — Durham Constabulary and the Office of the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner, — County Durham Housing Group, — Parish Councils and Town Councils in County Durham.
