Tender description

Contract for treatment/recycling of absorbent hygiene waste. The City and County of Swansea has published this Prior Information Notice (‘PIN’) to try and identify potentially interested organisations that have expertise and experience in treating and recycling Absorbent Hygiene Waste (AHW) such as nappies and adult hygiene products. We would interested in hearing from you if you: * Have a robust and proven record in treating and recycling AHW. * Are able to demonstrate an auditable approved recycling rate of at least 60 %. * Have capacity to accommodate and treat/recycle Absorbent Hygiene Waste products collected within Swansea, together with a cost effective haulage option. At this stage, the Council is seeking to determine the most appropriate approach to any future procurement exercise and therefore seeks the views of interested parties to help inform the process.
