PAN1684 - Delivery of Reflective Supervision workshops

Tender description

Leicester City Council (the Authority) invites quotations for the provision of Reflective Supervision Workshops for managers in the Early Help department. The proposed contract will be for 1 year with an option to extend for a period or periods totalling no more than one further year. We anticipate awarding to a single Supplier. As a Local Authority, we are looking to improve our practice; this is an ongoing process, but was a specific issue following the Ofsted inspection of Social Care and Early Help following, which we as a Local Authority were graded ‘Inadequate’. Early Help provides support for families who do not meet the threshold for social care, but are required to assess, case record and for managers to have oversight and supervision of cases. This includes families that meet the “Troubled Families” criteria and/or require an Early Help Assessment and “Team around the Family” multi agency approach. A big focus has been on improving the quality of assessments, case recording and supervision. To this end, a number of tools to support the work have been implemented; most recently a “Reflective Supervision” tool for use between family support and their manager to ensure the child/young person remains at the centre of any intervention. This is being implemented gradually one case per worker.
