Tender description
LEE228C- RFT for the Supply of a DNA, RNA and NGS library Analyser for Teagasc. The Crop Science department based in Oak Park, Carlow is the national centre for arable crop research and one of the departments in the crop environment and land use programme (CELUP). The main role of the research carried out at the centre is to support the arable crop sector of Irish agriculture. Many of the projects currently under way have a primary focus on crop improvement leading to sustainable and economically viable varieties of arable crops. More specifically the emphasis in the Crop Science department is placed on developing sustainable and profitable crop production systems, exploiting genetic resources for greater sustainability, improving crop quality to meet customer demands, developing alternative crops, expanding non-food uses for crops and protecting the environment
