Tender description

This is not a call for competition and is not yet a contract opportunity. Somerset County Council (SCC) is reviewing Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting and School Nursing) and Targeted Early Help Services (Children's Centre Services and the Troubled Families Programme). Currently, Public Health Nursing services are commissioned from an external provider and Early Help services are directly provided by the County Council. SCC is exploring options of how these services will be delivered in the future for 0-19 year olds and their families. It is anticipated that any new arrangements would commence on 1.4.2019. Somerset Children and Young People's Plan 2016-2019 describes the objective of establishing Early Help hubs which will deliver family support services — this is available on our website and includes other useful information about our strategic direction of travel and future plans (http://www.somerset.gov.uk/policies-and-plans/plans/children-and-young-peoples-plan/ ). SCC wishes to hear views from providers about future options at a Soft Market Testing event on Tuesday 26.9.2017 and is inviting organisations that might be interested in delivering these services. This will be an opportunity to inform and shape future options. SCC wishes to hear feedback from providers as part of the wider consultation for these services. Organisations taking part will not be advantaged or disadvantaged in any potential formal procurement. Commercial confidentiality will be respected.
