This is a notice for social and specific services in accordance with Directive 2014/24/EU Article 74. Please see link to overnight short breaks: https://in-tendhost.co.uk/sesharedservices/aspx/ProjectManage/12442 This is a tender process to acquire Play and Leisure Short Breaks services for Disabled Children and Young People under the Light Touch regime. Following the tender process, successful bidders will be offered a Block Contract to deliver play and leisure services. The purpose of this commission is to develop the independence and readiness for adulthood of children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and improve their emotional and physical health. First sub-lot is for services for children and young people with a wide range of SEND and represents the bulk of our play and leisure commission. Typical needs include: learning difficulties; physical disabilities; sensory impairments; autistic spectrum disorders (ASD); attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD); behaviours that challenge (associated with disability); associated health needs and conditions (that do not require nursing care); and associated mental health needs. We will commission countywide play and leisure services targeted specifically at children and young people with ASD, as we know that this is a growing area of need. These services will be delivered in each area and/or be readily accessible to families living in those communities. We will commission a countywide play and leisure targeted specifically at children and young people with a complexity of health needs. These services will be delivered from locations that are accessible to families living in all areas of Surrey.
