Haringey Council is inviting providers to a Market Engagement Event for the Provision of Carer Support Services. The Market Engagement Event will be held on: Date:Monday, 18th September 2017 Time: 2.30pm - 4.00pm Venue:Haringey Civic Centre, High Road, Wood Green, N22 8LE ( Please use postcode N22 8ZW if you are using SatNav) The aims of the Carers Support service are to: 1.Increase identification of carers in Haringey 2.Increase recognition of carers and their needs in Haringey 3.Improve self-reported wellbeing by carers in Haringey 4.Increase participation by carers in their community, including development of self sustaining peer support opportunities, as well as training, education, volunteering and employment opportunities. 5.Increase knowledge of the rights and needs of carers and the support and services available to meet these The market engagement event will provide an overview of the services to be provided, details of the proposed commissioning model and an opportunity to raise any questions or present any views prior to proceeding to the Invitation to Tender phase of our commissioning programme. It is envisaged that the contract will start on 1st March 2018 and continue for period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further period of 1 year (2+1). The Council is committed to working with the market place to maximise the commissioning opportunities to be gained under this contract.
