CCTV & Root Cutting Contract 2017

Tender description

Leicestershire County Council (the Council) is seeking to identify and appoint one Contractor to provide a CCTV and root cutting service on highway drains located in the county. The Contract will be awarded for carrying out during the 2017/ 2018 financial year with a service period between 2nd October 2017 and 31st March 2018. The service will be carried on highway drains 150mm diameter and above, generally not more than 2.0m deep and located in and around the Councils highways network. The service consists of the following elements on the Councils highway drainage network: - CCTV survey at identified locations. - Hydraulic root cutting with Jet / Vacuumation units. - Robotic root cutting at locations where hydraulic root cutting has not proved satisfactory. - Temporary Traffic Management on roads up to and including 30mph and not requiring traffic lights for safe working.
