Tender description

In June 2018 the Institute of Food Research (IFR) on the Norwich Research Park, UK will move into a new building, the Quadram Institute (QI), vacate its current premises and end its lease. The IFR building will be returned to its owner, the Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). The BBSRC plans to commission an independent review to establish the suitability of the building (in whole or in part), its outbuildings and surrounding site for alternative uses and/or asset disposal. There exist a range of potential uses for the building and the land. Each of these uses needs to be defined in broad terms, and a description of practicality, cost and value made to enable the BBSRC to decide on the best course of action. A report should present the facts, opportunities and constraints and the potential uses and compare them in the form of an options analysis. This work would be undertaken with the assistance of relevant client representatives who will also provide supporting background information (meeting in Norwich/London).
