Tender description

The Framework Agreement will cover a range of Medical Pulp products, Macerators and support products. Please refer to Sections II.2.4 of each Lot for more information in relation to the requirements. The Framework Agreement between NHS Supply Chain and successful suppliers will reserve the right to purchase the same or similar supplies and/or services from suppliers not appointed to the Framework Agreement at its sole discretion. Whilst it is anticipated that initial expenditure under any forthcoming procurement will be in the region of 6 500 000 GBP to 16 500 000 GBP for this contract award, this is approximate only and the values will be to such level as those purchasing under the Framework Agreement consider necessary to provide suitable requirements. The Framework Agreement will cover a range of Medical Pulp products, Macerators and support products. The requirement for Medical Pulp products will include but not be limited to bedpans, commode pans, urinals, pots, bowls and covers, cups, dishes and trays. The requirement for plastic support products will include but not be limited to plastic supports for bedpan liners and bowls. There will be a requirement for pulp storage/dispensing racks. The following certification will be a requirement of the upcoming tender exercise and Applicants will be required to include evidence of this with their tender submission. — ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent externally accredited and up-to-date quality standard certificate(s) to cover all segments of the Applicant's (and the product's) supply chain. This should include but not be limited to manufacturing storage and distribution. Further information in respect of certification requirements will be set out in the notice for the forthcoming procurement. If such certificates are not in the name of the Applicant then the Applicant must supply a copy of agreements setting out the authority and responsibilities of all parties in the supply chain. The requirements under this Lot will include but not be limited to the purchase, delivery and installation of Macerators, in addition to servicing and warranty elements. Macerator cleaning support products are also included in this Framework Agreement.
