MHRA - Estates - IonPro (RO) Replacement

The National Institute for Biological Standards and Control have identified that the need to replace the existing purified water processing unit and the chiller system feeding the sample coolers within our Centre for Biological Reference Materials building. This identified equipment’s are at the end of their working life and requires replacement. All prospecting contractors will be required to demonstrate their competences by showing similar related products and projects that they have previously undertaken and is to include a site visit by key members of the NIBSC project team. The works can be broken down into 8 areas of operations, these include: 1. Water purification system supply, installation, commissioning and validation with all associated documentation and certification. 2. Clean steam generator sample pot cooling – This includes the chiller system design, supply, installation, commissioning and validation with all associated documentation and certification. 3. The complete documentation covering the operations and maintenance manual. 4. The design and installation of associated pipework’s relating to the water and chiller system. The location of the new water purification systems shall be on the mezzanine floor within the CBRM plant room. The contractor shall be responsible for all the civil works including breaking and connecting into the client’s utilities and rains. 5. Power supply to the system with test certificates, commissioning and validation chemicals. 6. Integration of the new systems into the client’s BMS system working with our BMS contractor. 7. Offloading and positioning of the new systems within and outside the plantroom. 8. Removal and safe disposal of existing redundant equipment from site with a certificate to back up safe disposal.
