Tender description

This will be a joint contract for London Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond Upon Thames for the provision of highway projects ranging from minor repairs to the highway, to major town centre improvement schemes, carriageway resurfacing/reconstruction and road marking, street lighting and illuminated street furniture; both capital projects and maintenance of assets (reactive and cyclical maintenance). Other areas of work include minor highway maintenance and repair both reactive and emergency repairs, ad-hoc winter maintenance, civil engineering and drainage works as well as bridges and structures maintenance. This is a soft market testing exercise relating to a potential tendering of Highway Engineering contracts for the London Boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth. The purpose of this soft market testing exercise is to establish measure of interest in the market for the delivery of both Councils' requirements, to inform any subsequent procurement exercise, including the development and refinement of the potential highway contract specifications and associated terms and conditions of contract(s). Following submission and consideration of responses, the Councils may invite you to attend a follow up meeting to discuss your response. The requirements are likely to cover the following areas for both Councils. — Highway projects; — Carriageway resurfacing and road markings; — Footway Reconstruction; — Street lighting and illuminated street furniture; — Reactive maintenance; — Winter maintenance.
