The CCGs are considering the possible procurement of an Adult Community Minor Hand Surgery Service for the population of Northern Staffordshire, using a single provider route. The community based service shall provide high quality minor hand surgical procedures for Carpal Tunnel Decompression and Trigger Finger Release as part of the orthopaedic/musculoskeletal pathway. This notice intends to identify suppliers who may be interested, expressing an interest for this service. The CCGs are initially asking for organisations to register their Expressions of Interest only at this stage to be registered by Friday 15.9.2017. NHS North Staffordshire and NHS Stoke on Trent CCGs serve a registered population of approximately 502 000 people. The CCGs are considering the possible procurement of an Adult Community Minor Hand Surgery Service for the population of Northern Staffordshire, using a single provider route. The community based service shall provide high quality minor hand surgical procedures for Carpal Tunnel Decompression and Trigger Finger Release as part of the orthopaedic/musculoskeletal pathway. The overarching aims of the service are to provide: — A high quality, cost effective and patient centred surgical procedures for people with Carpal Tunnel and Trigger Finger. — Timely access to reduce waiting times and achievement of the 18 week referral to treatment target. — Community based provision, offering an alternative to secondary care. — Clinically effective treatments that reduce the demand on secondary care (acute) services and reduce the need for more costly interventions. Further details, to include contract duration will be made available at a later date to those organisations who have registered their interest in this service.
