Hertfordshire County Council (the ‘Council’) is currently out to procurement for the provision of a Body Removal Service. Further information in regards to this opportunity can be found in II.2.4) Description of the procurement field (OJEU Contract Notice refers). Contractors are required to remove the deceased from the place of death and other locations where the death may be referred to a Coroner and take them directly to a hospital mortuary or their premises unless otherwise directed by the police. Contractors may also be required to conduct the transfer of the deceased between hospitals. The estimated total value of the Contract is stated in II.1.5) of this notice and is for the initial term inclusive of the approximate value for extensions. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated annual value of the Contract will be approximately 35 000 GBP.
