Tender description
Why the Work is Being Done This requirement relates to Business continuity, the organisation needs to create sustainable and rigorous business continuity plans at an organisational, function level and to work with the commercial function to drive BCP in to the supply chain. This requirement is being advertised to understand options and to compare and contrast BCP as a service, compared with an interim or permanent arrangement. Should we proceed, we would look to start working with the supplier in September/October Problem to Be Solved There is not currently a robust BCP for the organisation. Who Are the Users The users are MAS as an entity and individuals within the organisation - either as business heads with the responsibility of creating, testing and maintaining function level BCPs or, individuals within the Crisis Management team who need to manage the process, plans and invoke as necessary Early Market Engagement This opportunity is our market testing; currently the service is filled by an interim Work Already Done Business continuity plans have been drafted for most areas of the business, and the wider organisational plan created. These have been tested to some degree but need refinement and more focus to embed them in to BAU. All plans need reviewing to ensure that they are fit for purpose. Driving BCP in to the supply chain needs more work and would be a joint responsibility between the service provider and the Commercial function at MAS Existing Team Currently an interim who is expected to leave in Autumn Current Phase Live Work Location MAS is based in Holborn. The supplier can be based wherever is appropriate, with meetings at the client site to be expected Working Arrangments Flexible; the focus is on delivery of an output. There will be close contact with all business heads, IT, FM and members of the crisis management team As this is a service, based on outputs, we wouldn't expect to pay expenses Security Clearance Not required Additional T&Cs Skills & Experience Demonstrate previous competence in this field Provide case studies of previous work Be qualified in the field Nice to Haves No. of Suppliers to Evaluate 6 Proposal Criteria Technical Solution Approach and methodology Implementation and handover process Cultural Fit Criteria Demonstrate the approach to understanding the organisation and how they would build relationships Payment Approach Fixed price Assessment Method Written proposal Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 10% Price 30% Questions from Suppliers Budget range this opportunity is being published to help us understand options and likely costs. to give an indication, we have employed a bcp expert as an interim in an expert management level role
