Tender description

Public Health England provides personal dosimetry services which measure the amount of radiation exposure received by workers. Amongst these services are dosemeters which record neutron or radon exposure, employing PADC (Poly Allyl Diglycol Carbonate, also known as CR-39). PADC is produced in sheets, which will be supplied directly from PHE's contracted manufacturer in equal deliveries every two calendar months. This is a multi-lot project which covers: Lot 1 — supply of PADC plastic for radon dosimetry, Lot 2 — supply of PADC plastic for personal dosimetry, Lot 3 — cutting and encoding for personal dosimetry. The nature of this lot is for a supplier to be awarded a contract for the supply of PADC plastic sheets to certain specifications located within the tender documents. This requirement is for the radiation dosimetry department. This requirement is for the personal dosimetry service and thus the specifications differ to lot 1.
