Supply of Haberdashery Items to Prison Industries Textile Workshops

Tender description

Ministry of Justice is planning to publish an invitation to tender for the supply of haberdashery items to prison industries textile workshops in England and Wales in Autumn/Winter 2017. We currently purchase the items listed in the attached document. We are considering dividing these items into the following lots: 1) Thread; 2) Elastic; 3)Fasteners including buckles, buttons, press fasteners, rivets, touch and close and zips 3) Labels and logos; and 4) Miscellaneous including bias binding, cord, D rings, eyelets, interlining, metal loops, packing boxes/labels/tape, split rings, swivel dog hooks, tapes, webbing and work boxes to award 1 contract per lot for a period of between 3-5 years in total. Our total spend on these items over the past 3 years has been approximately £1.5 million. To assist in the development of our procurement approach and specification, we would like to invite suppliers to complete a short survey which can be accessed via the link below to provide their input to key areas.
