PROVISION OF COLLAPSIBLE PALLET BOX / CAGE SOLUTION

Tender description

An Post is seeking to enter into a single party Framework Agreement to meet its requirements for a period of 3 (three) years with an option to extend for a period up to a further 2 (two) years for a Collapsible Pallet Box Solution. It is anticipated that the Contract will commence in Q3 2017. An Post is seeking a solution to meet its requirements for 1. Static Storage and 2. Transportation of parcels, mails bags etc between the above Mail Centre’s and the Parcel Centre’s. The solution would be used in the above Mail Centre’s and our Parcel Centres. An Post is seeking suitable suppliers for an off the shelf / bespoke Collapsible Pallet Box / Cage solution (non-cardboard) and delivery of same to one site or to various locations, which may be required during the term of the Framework Agreement. While An Post is open to innovative solutions it is envisaged that the Solution should meet or exceed the following requirements: - Ergonomic considerations for loading and unloading – one or more openings that allow for easy access to remove items and not lead to overreaching and stretching - Environmentally friendly due to reusability - Collapsible to save on storage space in warehouses - Stackable (when fully loaded) to save on storage space both in warehouses and in shipment container - Nestable for ease of storage when not in use - They can carry a wide variety of products i.e. parcels, small packets under 2kg, mail trays, mail bags weighing up to 30kg. - They can quickly be moved from trailers, in and out of trucks and shipment containers - Adequate strength for stacking \ storing in warehouses - Minimum height 1,000mm - Maximum height 1,600mm - Full side opening - Base configuration i.e. pallet cage, no wheels - Must be able to be moved using Power Pallet or Hand Pallet Truck
