Tender description

For the supply of Insulin Pumps and Associated Products covering a range of tethered insulin pumps, patch pumps, continuous monitoring devices and various associated products including but not limited to tubes, cannulas, handsets, adapters, carry cases, belts, remotes, sensors, service packs, download features and any option or accessory used to configure the pumps. This Framework Agreement is for 24 months with the option to extend in incremental stages for up to a total period of 48 months. This Lot is for battery operated Insulin Pumps which are tethered type and are for the administration of insulin for diabetic patients. This Lot also includes, but is not limited to, tubes, cannulas, needle cartridges, handsets, insertion devices, adaptors, batteries, carry cases, belts, remotes, sensors, finger prickers, battery caps, reservoirs, USB adaptors, clips, luer locks, dressings, pouches, batteries, service packs, download features, and any option or accessory used to configure the pumps. This is an estimate only as precise quantities of likely purchases are unknown. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the Framework Agreement the value of purchases for this lot will be in the region of 20 000 000 GBP however this is approximate only. The figures below for the total estimated value are based on that initial expenditure. Appointment within the Lot will be made on a Line by Line basis and all Suppliers who meet the minimum requirements which are set out in the Invitation to Tender and whose total score meets or exceeds 50 % will be appointed to that Line within the Lot. Applicants should note that they may, therefore, be appointed for one or a number of the Lines across this Lot and should refer to the Invitation to Tender for further information in respect of this. This Lot is for battery operated Glucose Monitoring Devices which are continuous and and are for the monitoring and recording of insulin levels in diabetic patients. This Lot includes, but is not limited to, handsets, sensors, carry cases, tapes, finger prickers, clips, dressings, adhesives, insertion devices, testers, service packs, download features, and any option or accessory used to configure the unit. This is an estimate only as precise quantities of likely purchases are unknown. It is anticipated that in the first 24 months of the Framework Agreement the value of purchases for this lot will be in the region of 4 000 000 GBP however this is approximate only. The figures below for the total estimated value are based on that initial expenditure. Appointment within the Lot will be made on a Line by Line basis and all Suppliers who meet the minimum requirements which are set out in the Invitation to Tender and whose total score meets or exceeds 50 % will be appointed to that Line within the Lot. Applicants should note that they may, therefore, be appointed for one or a number of the Lines across this Lot and should refer to the Invitation to Tender for further information in respect of this.
