Who Speclialist Work With A multi-disciplinary agile team including User Researcher, UX designer, content designer, dev ops, infrastructure, architecture, product manager and application manager. What Specialists Work On • Development of existing Search tools. Add new capabilities into the tool in line with user feedback, including; o bug fixes, o enhancements to usability, o accessibility enhancements, o and features (such as Share findings, network timebar filter, view of unstructured text, add new data feeds, advanced search builder) • Integrate existing structured and unstructured search capabilities into one tool. Where the Work Takes Place Based in Croydon with occasional travel to headquarters in central London and various stakeholder teams in the UK. Early Market Engagement None Working Arrangements Travel to regional sites to be agreed, expenses incurred from travel outside of the M25/Greater London will be subject to Home Office Travel and Subsistence Policy. Security Clearance SC (Held or prepared to undergo clearance) Additional T&Cs Standard DOS Terms and Conditions Skills & Experience Expertise in javascript with a commitment to writing clean code and comprehensive, clear tests (in particular significant experience - single page javascript applications using e.g. angular or react). Demonstrable significant experience using open source libraries Good knowledge of node.js and express Knowledge of Elasticsearch, NEO4J and/or relational databases (RDBMS) Understanding of web services (particularly REST), their pitfalls and best practice Nice to Haves Experience in supporting all aspects of user story development including analysis, testing and deployment Some experience of supporting live systems No. of Specialists to Evaluate 3 Cultural Fit Criteria Demonstrable experience in sharing knowledge with other team members.
