Tender description
Renewal of life expired rail signalling equipment between Norwich Yarmouth and Lowestoft Station. Re-signal from Whitlingham Junction (exclusive) to Yarmouth and Lowestoft (inclusive). All mechanical points retained in the revised layouts will be converted to power operation. The signalling design has received AiP (Approval in Principle) from the Route Asset Manager. — Rationalise all operational control within Colchester Signal Box, closing all existing Signal Boxes. — Provide training simulation facilities at Colchester for Signaller training. — Modernise existing public road level crossings closing any existing manned gates.
