Tender description
In 2020 the United Kingdom, United States of America and Holland will commemorate the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower, an event that changed history and which forms the basis of the ‘special relationship’ between the US and UK. As the UK’s lead partner for the delivery of Mayflower 400, this represents a unique opportunity for Plymouth to highlight its exceptional heritage, raising pride and providing an ongoing sporting, social, cultural and economic impact across the city. We have aspirations to deliver an exceptional programme of sporting activities in the build up to and through 2020. This will promote participation in Mayflower 400 and help contribute to the Council’s wider to goal to create happy, healthy and connected communities.
