Invitation to tender for concession contract to provide Hospital Retail Catering Units

Tender description

Concession contracts are available to provide Hospital Retail Catering Units to replace existing in house provisions. The opportunity comprises of 2 units of an established, but under exploited retail catering service. The service and contract consists of the following:  Whitlocks - a staff canteen also open to the public in a dedicated, fully equipped retail unit owned by Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust which is at the centre of the Hospital site. 80% of custom is from members of a staff who benefit from a 10% discount on certain lines. Supported by a loyal customer base and a valued facility.  Beacon Café - A smaller dedicated facility within the award winning Beacon Oncology Centre. As well as staff trade there is a captive audience within the waiting area that is host to this outlet. This unit is a PFI funded building.
