Tender description

Insurance services divided across 14 lots and required by institutions participating as Members of the London University Purchasing Consortium Insurance Group. This includes insurance provision for several areas including but not limited to: property, business interruption and money risks, employers and public liability, professional indemnity, clinical research and trials, engineering and motor fleet. on behalf of 42 Full and Associate Members of the LUPC Insurance Group, which includes Members from the neighbouring Southern Universities Purchasing Consortium(SUPC). Members of the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) are also permitted to participate. Excess layer insurance that includes Material Damage, Business Interruption, Computer, Money and Deterioration of Stock insurance — but excludes Terrorism. Contractors All Risks insurance providing full coverage for property damage and third-party injury or damage claims including new buildings in the course of erection, and alterations, repairs and additions to existing buildings. Includes unfixed materials on site and contractors plant for which the Insured has been made responsible. Primary layer Casualty insurance that includes Employers Liability and Public/Products Liability insurance. Excess layer Casualty insurance that includes Employers Liability and Public/Products Liability insurance. Miscellaneous Liability insurance that includes Pension Trustee Liability, Libel and Slander and Directors and Officers insurance. Professional Indemnity insurance covering legal liability for damages, claimants costs and expenses arising out of the conduct of the Insured by reason of any act of neglect, error or omission, breach of warranty or authority, infringement of copyright, patent, or patent right or trademark or design rights or unauthorised use of systems or programs, breach of confidential information under data protection legislation or breach of intellectual property rights. Clinical Trials insurance with Cover Legal Liability for damages, claimants' costs and expenses and legal expenses to include Legal Liability for Human Clinical Trials, No Fault Compensation for Human Clinical Trials, which can include Public Liability, Products Liability and Completed Operations Errors and Omission Insurance. Worldwide Territorial Limits apply. Medical Malpractice insurance with Cover Legal Liability for damages, claimants costs and expenses arising out of the conduct of the Insured against claims made against them for bodily injury, mental injury, illness, disease or death of any patient caused by any negligent act, error or omission committed by the insured in or about their business. Worldwide Territorial Limits apply excluding USA/Canada. Motor Vehicle insurance, both for damage to vehicles and Third Party Liability. Personal Accident and Travel insurance. Engineering Inspection and Insurance including Damage to Insured Plant, Sudden and Unforeseen Damage, Breakdown and Damage to own surrounding property due to Explosion or Collapse and Fragmentation. Fidelity Guarantee / Crime insurance covering Employee Fraud, Third Party Computer Fraud, Third Party Funds Transfer Fraud, Forgery of Cheques and other Financial Instruments, Counterfeit Paper Currency, Corporate Card Fraud, Telecommunications Fraud and Public Utilities Fraud. All risk cover for damage or loss to marine craft including transported goods or cargo.
