Installation of illuminated road signs

Tender description

Supply, maintain and repair on an as required basis a variety of electronic and vehicle activated signs throughout the East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire area (managed by the Ayrshire Roads Alliance), including provision of an electronic asset management and monitoring system. Bespoke signage may also be required. The contract is for the supply and installation as required of new electronic and vehicle activated signs and maintain/repair existing signs. The East Ayrshire Council area has approximately 212 solar/electronic signs and the South Ayrshire Council area has approximately 71 signs which will require to be included on a regular maintenance schedule together with re-programming of approximately 170 of these signs, with repairs carried out on an as required basis. A Call-out repairs service will also be required together with an electronic asset management and monitoring system for the collation of various pieces of information such as locations, faults, drawings etc. Purchase of signs will be on an as required basis. The contract will be for a period of 3 years with 2 1-year extension options.
