Hire of construction and civil engineering machinery and equipment with operator

Tender description

NIE Networks have a requirement throughout Northern Ireland for the provision of Plant Hire Contractors to assist with: 1. Hire of Large Plant — Track machines and rubber wheel diggers equipped with Pole erectors to assist with the erection /replacement of electricity poles, Installation of stay rods and installation of substation earthing. Transportation of NIE Networks' own plant. 2. Unaccompanied rigging and erecting of new electricity poles, installation of stay rods and installation of transformer earthing. 3. Adhoc works — mini digging, earth testing repairs and installation. The rigging and erecting/replacement of poles and the installation of stay rods and substation earthing is carried out on all voltages levels up to and including 400Kv and will include refurbishment, new connections work, diversions and alterations to the network, line raising, dangerous clearances and fault & emergency work. This is a framework contract for a period of 3 years for Excavation and Hire of Large Plant Hire; Pole Erecting and Rigging; Ad hoc and Small Plant Hire (Mini Diggers) Services. The quantity of work shall be as instructed by the Contracting Entity during that period. There will also be an option entirely at the discretion of the Contracting Entity to extend the contract for up to a further two years. This is a framework contract for a period of 3 years for Excavation and Hire of Large Plant Hire; Pole Erecting and Rigging; Ad hoc and Small Plant Hire (Mini Diggers) Services.
