Tender description

Specialist care and support for people with learning disabilities and/or autism, who display behaviour that challenges, including those with a mental health condition, following an inpatient stay. The Council is establishing a step up/step down service for up to four people with a learning disability and/or autism who are currently placed out of area in either low secure or specialist placements. Anticipated contract term will be from 27.11.2017 to 26.11.2019, with the option to extend incrementally for a period of three years (2 + 1 years) (subject to contract review and budget availability). The procurement is conducted under the arrangements for Light Touch procurements. It is a restricted 2 stage process, which has included principles from the negotiated procedure, in that suppliers may be invited to submit a final tender. The service is procured on a spot-purchase basis and delivery requirements will be fully developed with the successful bidder.
