Tender description

The works will include the construction of a portal frame steel building 56.4m in length, 30m in width with an eve height of 9m and a pitch height of 10.6m. A total of 6 No. roller shutter doors will be provided in the building. The building will have a reinforced concrete floor. An external yard area will be created, surfaced with reinforced concrete with associated earthworks, kerbing, lighting, fencing and drainage. An optional extra may be added to the contract, dependant on cost, which includes the provision of a fire suppression system such as a sprinkler system and associated water supply, pumps and storage tank. Works on site will have to take account of the 25m buffer zone from a disused badger set and all external lighting will need to be fitted with cowls to limit any potential impact on bats. A field drain also runs parallel to the development site and a 5m buffer will need to be maintained around the field drain during and post construction.
